Julian Kirkness - Managing Director

I have worked in the IT sector most of my working life - mostly in HR Software. For many of those years I was owner and MD of Select Software. The experience gained during this time has given me a huge insight into selecting and developing good staff - which I am now using to help other businesses grow their own teams.

Moving into the recruitment sector has also led me to start thinking about how teams are built, how they collaborate and how vital situational knowledge can be shared and preserved within an organisation. The emerging concept of Social Business, and the products that support working in this way (such as Podio) is, in my view, fundamental to business success in the future.

I started the business to be different, to really add value to the hiring process rather than being seen as a nuisance by clients. There is a great feeling when you finally place a Candidate with a Client – everyone is happy and it’s so much more than just making a sale.
